Happy Final Space Friday
Currently I'm working on the back matter of the book, so cool moments like seeing an image come from sketch to ink to full color.
@daztibbles is about to be the last remaining artist on the project which was always going to happen, Joe is off on another project potentially after he does one last thing for us. We just got done going over every single note and fix for the novel and were still catching things (which is good!), like even today Seth found a double page not lined up that none of our test readers spotted haha so were fixing that into two single pages since moving that would unravel the whole books pages/ double pages. We're adding about 6 new pages in key moments and fixing about three important moments to help them land even harder. Overall it's really targeted stuff but fixes that will improve the read. We're also trying to catch all the re-writes to give to our letterer for next week. So fine tuning! And adding a few KVNs on some pages for our soundtrack. I'm waiting on the quote from the printer for the black and white novels and then I'm hoping to place the order top of Feb for the black and white novels. And then we can finish the coloring, which Daz is fast! But we also have to do a quality pass to make sure all the color matches from 6 different colorists but overall it looks AWESOME! As always onwards! -
